Sharing God´s Love

So I know I haven´t written anything in awhile, but it has been a crazy last two weeks. We´ve been so busy as we´ve built more relationships with the people and gotten deeper in the ones we´ve had.  We´ve all been quickly learning that ministry is more about simply loving people rather than doing activities for them. With that, here´s two stories just from this week: Monday we went to our weekly lunch with the Modesto family, the family my group met what seems like years ago now and we talk to all the time. This was the third or fourth week we´ve had lunch with them on Monday. I...

Jesus Bring the Rain

So this week it has been raining pretty much non stop…everything smells like mold and mildew, the flies are out of control, and none of our clothes are ever dry!  In another sense of “rain,” there has been a flood of another group of Americans pouring into Jinotepe, which has given us a new energy as we are finishing up the last week of ministry here.  Together we have formed an even bigger part of the body of Christ, and I pray that they receive the spiritual awakening that I have in the past month and a half here.    Sunday night Ashley, Shelby, and...

Look to Him

So my whole life I have always told to prayed for brokenness. Probably because it sounded like the selfless thing to pray for… but the Lord spoke to me yesterday. He told me ¨I was broken so that YOU could be whole.¨ When I´m constantly striving towards being broken over my sin and the evil around me it keeps my focus off the most important thing, which is Christ. And that´s exactly how the ruler of this world works, he´ll twist truth and make you think that you aren´t a ¨good¨ christian if you aren´t always walking around torn over your...

BUH

So, I recall I began my previous blog explaining how I haven´t been blogging due to a little bit of inactivity. Ironically this time, I´ll start by saying that I haven´t been blogging much due to excessive activity. Things here haven´t been quite what I expected, which is a good thing because my box of how things might go put a limit on what God would do, because he definetly had plans of exceeding those expectations. I might have previously been expecting to spend time out in the Nicaraguan shanty towns praying for the people´s head colds. However, I´ve found myself spending the majority...

Wonderful Love

Have you ever thought about how wonderful God´s love is? He died so He would be more than enough, but do we really know what that means? He´s more than enough for our pains, for our worries, our hungers, everything. And He´s shown us that over and over again here. As I think back on how everyone on our team was in the beggining to how they are now. There has been such a drastic growth. Chains have been broken and faith has been increased. People are stepping into the roles God has called them into, and He´s still not finished with them. But not only is He working on us He´s working on the...

Ministry is my life.

The Spirit of God has been very tangible the last couple of weeks. The manifestations have been truly mesmerizing. My eyes and heart have been opened to how much He loves us and wants to engage in us. He wants to me follow closely. He wants me to listen and obey Him. Heidi Baker says in one of her books that ministry is stopping for the one and being the very fragrance of Christ. This spoke volumes to me. It means that Ashley and I go to Margarita´s house almost every day and pray for her healing and the healing of her twin great grandchildren. And we go to Angel´s and pray healing over her...
