So my whole life I have always told to prayed for brokenness. Probably because it sounded like the selfless thing to pray for… but the Lord spoke to me yesterday. He told me ¨I was broken so that YOU could be whole.¨ When I´m constantly striving towards being broken over my sin and the evil around me it keeps my focus off the most important thing, which is Christ. And that´s exactly how the ruler of this world works, he´ll twist truth and make you think that you aren´t a ¨good¨ christian if you aren´t always walking around torn over your sin. I´m obviously not saying that you shouldn´t feel remorse over your sin or the injustice in the world… but more that you shouldn´t allow your thoughts to linger there long.
Christ was broken so that you could be whole.
He wants to fill that brokenness with His Spirit. Repentence is so important. But once you repent, move on. Let Christ fill you up and make you whole. Christ doesn´t want you to stay in a constant state of brokenness. He wants you to be healed and set free!! He came to give you life and give it abundently. Walk in that grace that He paid for with His life. Stop dwelling on your shortcommings and start being awed by His perfection. He is all we need. Choose to be whole and give all glory to the One who was broken for you.
