A Week and a Half Ago:
Sarah: My head is really itchy. Do I have a rash on the back of my neck?
Hannah: Yeah it’s red. My head is itchy too
Random Team Member: It’s probably just the water drying out your scalp
One Week Ago:
Elizabeth checks Sarah’s head for lice because it still itches. Nothing?
Two Days Ago:
Hannah: Seriously it itches soo bad
Paige: Uh oh, Hannah has lice!
Hannah: Shut up I do not
April: I´ll check.
Again nothing
Brett: Let me check. I have to do hundreds of these at home. Um.. Don´t freak out… but I think you legit have lice….
Hannah freaks out
April, Brett and Paige all check again and discuss it, but come to the conclusion that there is nothing…
Two more checks are done later that night and still, nothing.
Today:
Hannah: Sarah, play with my hair.
Sarah: Alright put your head in my lap.
30 seconds later Sarah pulls out a bug
Sarah: Umm…..Hannah? I think you have lice…. Patrice, is this lice?
Patrice: Yes.
Coco checks Hannah’s hair more.
Hannah: Check Sarah´s head. If I have it she definitely has it.
Coco checks Sarah’s head.
After parting Sarah´s hair for a split second.
Coco: Sí. Tienes mucho. (Yes. She has a lot.)
Mass chaos erupts and girls freak out.
Coco spends two and a half hours picking eggs and lice out of Sarah and Hannah´s hair.
Sooo needless to say, Sarah and I have lice. And of course we´re the only two. Raise your hand if you´re surprised, one thing happens to one of us, it of course happens to the other (our hands are down). Sarah also woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and… other things from a stomache flu with a sore throat. It´s a great day for her. But we like to be optimistic. Next time she´s throwing up, she probably won´t also have bugs in her hair. It can only go up hill from here.
Lindsey and Ashley, you´re troopers and we LOVE you.
Hannah: I´m going to feel bad if you two get lice from hanging out with us.
Lindsey: Not a big deal. Ya’ll are worth it.
True friendship is being worth the potential of critters.
True love is picking bugs out of two gringas’ hair, killing them, and then wiping them on your skirt.
We’re going to take Coco on a shopping spree to get pretty things. Remember how I said she was a superstar? Confirmed.
Plans for this evening? Watching a movie and picking bugs off each other.
