Here for a Purpose!

I wear shoes all the time. I brush my teeth using a water bottle. I use the toilet with other people in the bathroom. My feet are always dirty – I’m not sure they will ever be clean again. I walk through mud on a daily basis. I’ve eaten enough rice and beans to last me a lifetime. I’m living out of a suitcase. My clothes don’t smell fresh. My showers are cold. I’m never by myself. Our room and bathroom are a mess – I’m always organized. Yes sometimes these things bother me, yet, I wouldn’t change anything here. It’s only been 3...

Ministry on the Streets!

Imagine the dirtiest and most rundown place you know. Got that picture in your head?? Now there’s a good chance that it does not compare to the barrio’s (slums) in which we have ministered in the last few days. This week we started out street ministry for “Mission 70”. I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to be able to serve as a missionary in Nicaragua to bring life, restoration, freedom, joy and so much more to...

Get Ready, Get Set, Go!!!!

Wow, we’ve come to the final day of training camp already. Although it has only been four days, I believe our team has found a bond that feels as if we have known each other for much longer. Team Nicaragua 1 and 2 ~ we’re ready to go! These last four days have been absolutely NOTHING like I would have ever imagined, yet I am completely thankful for that. I expected training camp to be in stuffy conference rooms, but yet here we are at White Water Express, one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever seen, surrounded by nature and learning and growing as individuals and as a...
