BUH

So, I recall I began my previous blog explaining how I haven´t been blogging due to a little bit of inactivity. Ironically this time, I´ll start by saying that I haven´t been blogging much due to excessive activity. Things here haven´t been quite what I expected, which is a good thing because my box of how things might go put a limit on what God would do, because he definetly had plans of exceeding those expectations. I might have previously been expecting to spend time out in the Nicaraguan shanty towns praying for the people´s head colds. However, I´ve found myself spending the majority of my days with my group praying and minstering to each other. This sort of thing has taken on a new importance and value in my life, whereas before I may not have had much stock in the power of prayer or community, where today I understand how powerful these things are and how crucial they are to all of our lives. I´ve found that I am activated when I pray with the new mindset and it´s a new place that is quite possibly the best place I´ve been to.

To share a few specific examples our group has been making weekly trips a rehab center for men. Typically, we don´t come with any kind of agenda and this particular week we were struggling on how to handle the time we´ve been given. After a bit of awkward small talk we decided to just simply ask if there was anyone who wanted to feel more of God. A man stepped forward and we laid hands on him and began praying. Within moments, stuff hit the fan and tears were flowing, songs were sung, and people were praying hard. This went for the whole scheduled hour and then another half hour overtime (with the agreeance of those who ran the place), and it was said that we had made a very lasting impression on all of them.

Most recently, there was another group of Americans that had come down to serve in the same ministry group we were so a portion of them came to visit our Sunday church we had established. While songs were being sung, which is usually pretty powerful, their translator just broke into tears spontaneously. We took it upon ourselves to pray for him to encourage this encounter with God. Inevitebly this began sort of an avalanche where several students, and even a leader from the other team broke down and prayer and praise erupted. Several people were passing out in the spirits, a few were being prophecied over and some were simply being encouraged with truth and it made for an extremely powerful experience.

So as it stands now, I am very anxious to go back home and spread what I have learned the best way possible and make whatever changes appropiate to my life so I can continue on healthily.
