My Mafia

Monday and Tuesday Lindsey, Naomi, and myself had the amazing opportunity to spend the day and night in Bethel with our dear friend Conny! She works at the doctor’s office on the property where we live, and the more and more we have gotten to know her the more we have fallen in love with her. She is a woman full of so much life and joy. She has a gift of making you feel like the most special person in the world. She always hits her heart and says mi corazon , which means my heart, anytime she talks to you. Is Jesus really God? (Part 1)

Today, April 22nd, we came to Granada to minister to people who are searching for Jesus. About a month ago God spoke to me about going back to the hostel we stayed in for midpoint debrief that is 3 hours away from where we live. We want to spread the gospel with no language barrier and the hostel in Granada has offered us this opportunity. Plus it has offered us an opportunity to spread the...

If the answer is Yes, you can STILL move onto step 3 …because it really doesn't matter one way or the other. Step 3 – (The key to this question is not to actually ask, but to TeLL …so it's not really a question ) Let that...

There is hope in the dry season

As I'm typing this, I can hear the pounding of the first storm of the rainy season and the rain as it thunders on the tin roof of our building. And even as I sit here, I feel refreshed.   Rain has always had a magical influence on me, symbolizing something powerful and majestic.  I loved the rainy season growing up in Arizona.  August is burning hot, no relief from the temperature and humidity…. Until you see that wall of gray in the distance.  That rolling clap of thunder, that sweet scent that hangs temptingly in the air and the hope that comes with...

Talitha Koum

Lately, the Lord’s been teaching me a lot about His promises and about initiative. Today, I’ve been writing some of it out as a Bible study I’m leading for a youth group tomorrow night, and while working on it and listening to Spanish worship music with our cooks as they prepare dinner, I figured I’d turn it into a blog too. So here’s a bit of that.     Initiative– what’s yours and where does it come from?   “For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.”… as God’s...
