Today we were walking the streets of Jinotepe in small groups. I was with Zach, Elizabeth, Jessica and Ashley D. Towards the end of our journey we were invited in the home of a man named Fernando. He has a daughter (at least I think she is his daughter, gotta love language barriers). Anyway, she is mentally handicapped. She is 24 and is super tiny and cannot speak. She also has pretty intense physical problems. Fernando is missing one leg and also has another daughter who was recovering from surgery and in pain. I spent most of my time praying over Gabriella. Specifically that God would heal her completely and that she would KNOW that she is loved by Him. I believe with my whole heart that the Lord has the ability to heal her. I am just gonna take it a step further and belive that she WILL speak by the end of the summer.
After praying for Fernando he got super excited. I was sitting on the floor holding Gabriellas hand and not really paying attention but he kept pointing to me or something. He began to say he had some sort of a vision about me. The best translation we could figure out was that he had seen me there before. Whatever he saw or whatever thats supposed to mean, I do not know. I do know that God wants to move in tremendous ways in this family. I am so thankful I am able to be His servant.
