Sitting atop a blessing

I´ve been writting in my journal pretty regularly just so I can remember all the  wonderful experiences that I have while I´m here. One morning I woke up extra early to write and I went to the roof of Casa Mateo, the hotel that we are staying in for now. This is what I saw, at 8:18 am the4 sun is already high, birds chirping, the bark of dogs, the occassional crow of roosters echo, cars are buzzing and people working fills my ears. A cool breeze blows across my faceas the sun attempts to warm it. Some of the girls are runing laps around the roof before breakfast. The flat roof has a bathroom, and old bar for parties, a shady spot, and a 40´ by 60´ opening in the center that looks staight through to the first floor. From the roof you can see a 350 degree view of Jinotepe and the Nicaraguan Mountains off in the distance. There are 4 churches and some radeo towers that make it above yours eyes and only a few trees block a full view in the distance. Cassa Mateo site as one of the tallest building at only 3 stories plus a roof. Looking out over Jinotepe, you can get an understanding of the poverty that imacts everyday life, but in that you obtain and understanding of the people the prosper here. More is yet to come.

In strenght we continue on. Just keep swimming!
