I wish you were here so you could…

1. have seen the random man riding his horse on the beach
2. see the incredible sunset on our island every night
3. have hiked 4 miles up a volcano to see a gorgeous waterfall then back down in 90degree weather
4. have seen the children’s faces when we first arrived and they drenched us with water guns
5. see the massive amounts of sweat dripping off each of us as we planted, hoed, and weeded in the garden
6. have watched a snake puke up a dead bird!
7. see the amazing view we have everyday from the El Rancho
8. have seen our grateful faces when we first saw our colorful bedroom with bunk beds and running water
9. see my awesome tan line after only a week in the sun painting the house and working in the garden
10. have watched what I did: chickens getting their heads sliced off (and we plucked them)
11. laugh with us every time we see the pigs grunting and looking all cute on the side of the road
12. have heard Julieta sing “Mighty to Save” in Spanish
13. ride on the school bus into town that plays Backstreet Boys, has High School Musical Stickers on the windows, and crams so many people on that you can breathe in the smell of hair gel coming off the boy in front of you
14. drink the delicious coffee and fresco we get to everyday
15. experience the awesome church services on Sunday and Wednesdays full of worship and prayer
16. be apart of a miracle
    1. On Wednesday we were told that Cicrin (orphanage we are staying at) they really needed money and that the staff and older kids were going to fast and pray on Thursday in order to ask the Lord to provide the funds. Thursday morning we woke up to the people of Cicrin praying and worshiping through music in the el rancho so as a group we collectively began reading the bible and praying as well. We went about our normal jobs in the morning (paining a roof, gardening, cooking, cleaning, etc.). We took a break around noon to rest and pray more then went back to work. Around 2oclock we were told the funds had been provided! I had never fasted and it was so amazing to be apart of a miracle only Jesus could do!

 
Continue to pray please! Thank you all for your love and support J It is incredible to be able serve the Lord at this awesome place that serves precious children. I am glad that God has given me the opportunity to work hard and grow closer to him at the same time!
