Polaroid PIcture

Life is not always sunsets and palm trees and I'm realizing this more and more every day. The way I view life is as a polaroid picture. God has already taken the picture. He has everything mapped out. Every step we are going to take whether right or wrong. He knows every word we are going to say even before we say it and he knows our actions even before we do them. However for us, the picture is not quite clear yet.   It takes time for the full picture to come into focus. Sometimes it may take our whole lives and the picture is still not completely clear. No matter how much we...

Malnourished Souls

“Jesus replied: ‘If you only knew the gift God has for you and who I am, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.’” – John 4:10       They stand outside of the hospital.  They whisper nervously in the waiting room.  They crowd the tiny recovery rooms.  Malnourished souls.  It’s not that they don’t necessarily want it.  It could be they don’t know about.  How can they be nourished without knowing the one who can feed them?    Every Wednesday we visit the Hospital...

Operation Transformation

She started the day out just as any other. She woke up, went to the gym, came home, showered and grabbed a banana as she ran out the door. Running late to her annual doctors check up she almost forgot her briefcase for work sitting on the counter. She thought she would have a quick appointment and make it to work before lunch. piece of my heart.

It’s officially been 2 months. We’ve reached the halfway mark, and there’s only 1 day until my 19th birthday. I’m currently laying in a hammock at our Hostal on our mid-way debrief listening to foreigners talk and wondering why I haven’t been able to blog about Nicaragua. I’m still not quite sure why. Let’s Make This Time UNFORGETTABLE!!

Here i am Day 3 of debrief in the beautiful city of Granada. Woke up early, showered and spent some quality time with our amazing Heavenly Father in a quaint little courtyard. In a few minutes some of us are going to walk to the bakery and get delcious pastries, what could be better, right? This whole debrief is not just a vacation, however.  Not only is this time going to be filled with laughter, shopping, amazing food and fellowship with our team. But I pray that during these 5 days my team is ENERGIZED, I pray my team is REJUVENATED, and...

Nine Secret Children

Sometimes laughing and dancing are the only things that seem to make sense. Last night things began to fall into place when we attended a celebration dinner at a local family´s house to praise God for the beginnings of miraculous healing in Jimy, a six-year-old boy who is afflicted with cerebral palsy. Something changed in both my thought process and my actions last night as I began to catch the vision. As we walked through the barrios on the way to Jimy´s house Hope peered her head over the front gate of Mari´s home and enthusiastically yelled, ¨Mari!¨ Mari, a...
