Ask and You Shall Receive

We began walking from the compound to the barrios for prayer walk.  I prayed for the families and for us to see with God’s eyes today just like normal.  Except for one thing.  I prayed that we may see the spiritual realm.  When it came out of my mouth, it was one of those, “Why the heeeeeck did I pray that?” That night, we got together to pray about all that’s going on in the barrios.  They are poor, they are desperate, they are confined by sin, they are entangled in a political system where they aren’t taken care of very well. ...

Mi Familia (Part 1)

Mi Familía                 Today I realized how much I love the people here! I love each of these kids like they’re my sisters and brothers, and I wish that I had the giving and loving hearts that their families had. They have so little, but they LOVE each other and they love us. Today is Sunday (Domingo), and we have church twice on Sundays. We have children’s church at 9:30-which actually means about 10:00-10:30 am, and we have grown up church at 3:00 pm-which actually meant about 4:30 today! I...
