I am Free to Dance

Wreck my world were the three words that I prayed for coming into training camp. I continued to speak those words without full comprehension of the power they have and can bring when you ask God for that. It is such a blessing to serve a Lord who hears all our prayers, and although he doesn’t respond on my time, he knows the right words to say. The messages, worship, and community time is something that the Lord told me to engage in with complete freedom. I allowed him to answer my prayer, and turn my ear to heaven and hear the noise inside. Full sacrifice, although difficult at...

The church that is at la quinta wants to have 70 people come and be members of this church. we are going to be starting that on wednesday. today we did manual labor around where we live! Just call me Juan Messi

“Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you expected.” – Unknown Coming in, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. Interesting food, broken hearts mended, and a few laughs along the way, but this trip has been far more than that thus far. Everyday a New Opportunity

Since we’ve arrived in Nicaragua every day has been completely different. We’ve had time to spend with the kids and the people of the church. On our first day we spent the morning playing with the children at the preschool. They are so loving and sweet and the littlest things make them smile. They are beautiful and wonderful.  For the last two days though (Thursday and Friday) we have been practising with the local people from the church as we prepare to help them with “Mission 70”. We have been learning dances and skits which we will have to perform in the...

Lovin’ life in Nica!

Hey everyone,  Well I have no idea what to write today because so much has happened! God is doing amazing things so far…most of the people we visited in the Barrios yesterday (the neighborhood near where we are staying) actually showed up at church which is amazing! We got to pray for the women and children in the hospital yesterday which was amazing. I will post a new blog once I figure out what exactly to write but I just wanted everyone to know God is doing great things. Thanks for the continued prayers!

We arrived in Nicaragua Tuesday at 7:30pm and arrived at la quinta around 10 Nicaragua time. We have a house with 3 rooms one room has 11 girls, 4 in another and the two boys have their own room.  Our first full day we hung out, organized our living situation, walked the compound and took a couple naps and attended our first church service. Later that evening we recieved our assignment. We were told that we were going to be street evgangelizing. This means we are going to be dancing and preforming dramas in the street to get the people in the barrios out of their homes and into the...
