Simple Living

A normal day here at Cicrin Orphanage:       We tend to wake up pretty early because it gets light outside around 4:30 or 5:00. We usually head down to El Rancho (the hut with hammocks that overlooks the lake) for a little quiet time before breakfast. Our breakfast, along with every other meal, consists mostly of rice and beans. We have become very acquainted with our meals by now. In Your Arms of Love

It’s been a week since we left for Nica.  It feels like so much longer–the unknown has already become so familiar.  I think I’m falling in love with this place.  Arriving at my new home! The Life of a Cereal Killer

Today, I taught eight children the dance to a Katy Perry song; life is wonderful.  This past week has been one of the best of my life.  During the four days of training camp, God truly broke down the barriers of my heart and allowed me to purify my motives for coming on this trip.  With incredible worship, life-changing teaching sessions, and irreplaceable team activities, God completely re-defined my life.         Our two traveling days on Tuesday and Wednesday were smoother than molasses excluding the time our bus...

Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team

We are one.

I love the power of prayer and I love how God speaks to us when we are willing to listen. For the weeks leading up to camp, I prayed for repeatedly for close-knit bonds and against the fears of regection or seperation that often come about in large groups. I honestly had a huge fear of us picking and choosing our groups of friends based off of traits we're comfortable with and what we have been used to. The first day in our team talk, we chose the word "family" to describe our central movement as a group. We prayed for love, courage, and unity for each other. We also talked a...
