WWJD. What would Jesus do? LITERALLY.
Blair and Patrice gave us the challenge one of the first weeks we were here to open our Bibles, read the red words of Jesus, and then DO THEM. Go to the streets and be Jesus. This idea has stuck with me throughout our time here. We are so accustomed to planning, analyzing, revising, and overcomplicating. The reality is that the love of Christ is simple. And POWERFUL.
¨Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.¨- 1 John 4:7
¨Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God froa sweet-smelling aroma.¨ – Ephesians 5:1-2
¨Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.¨ – 1 Corinthians 13:1-2
We are nearing the end, but still have so many opportunities to be Jesus in this place. I want to know what it means to be His hands and feet. To see with His eyes. To hear with His ears. To feel with His heart. And not just in Nicaragua, but wherever we go from here – home, school, work, or back to the mission field. The love of Christ is power, and it´s in this power that we are called to live.
