Thy rod and Thy staff.

When I first got to training, my anxiety increased. I was terrified of the lack of communication I will have on the field. I realized that what I would be missing was comfort from my family and friends. I would simply miss being with them and they joy they provide. I began to pray that the Lord would provide comfort. His words came to mind, 

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.”

My prayer is that I find all I need in Him. “for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”
