Real Life Update: Attention Supporters and Families of Participants!

We are excited for the teams who will be launching on the 19th and on the field for over four months! There are five trips launching out on three continents. And we are excited for you to be able to be a partner in the development of these young adults. They will need all the encouragement and support they can receive, because there is difficulty in the process of initiation through the situations and circumstances that arise. We would like to ask that if you support a participant, whether family, friend, or supporter, that you would continue to pray for each...

Bittersweet

Today is our last day in beautiful Nicaragua. It’s truly hard to say goodbye to a wonderful summer with the awesome Nicaraguans, my stinkin awesome team, and my ultimately legit Leaders! I have grown into my Nicaraguan lifestyle, and my family that the Lord has placed in my life that will last for many years to come. Rebuilding the Casita

So yesterday Stephanie and I went to the hardwear store in search of steel and wood to help patch up the Casita, Helen´s family´s little house.  Some of the walls have been missing for some time, and the roof is sketchy, with plastic covering it and rocks to hold it down.  Needless to say, they needed some assistance.  I feel so grateful having the experience of letting the husband Jose pick out exactly what he needed and bringing the rest of the family along to see that soon their house would be fixed!!  I was so very excited for them.  We told them that this was...

phlog numero tres: “niños”

Random photos of a few of the beautiful children we have been blessed to love on here in Nica.     Genesis     This is probably one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken.            This is the infamous Esther. She has stolen all of our hearts!!! (well at least mine and Hannah’s)   Today we got to bless Esther´s family with new shoes, food and clothes. We also did something similar to another family. When I say  “we” I mean God. It was so bittersweet going to the barrios today, knowing that that was...

Being Loco

1. Ever ziplined through a cloud forest? Because I have now. It wasn´t a rainforest, but a cloud forest. The clouds literally hung in the air around us as we zipped across 7 long ziplines, a tarzan swing, a tight rope walk, and a 50 ft drop. It was the best day of my life. It was beautiful, inspiring, and CRAZY! 2. Running through a torrential downpour on a volcano. Joshua, Ruthann, and I headed out into the rain after the zipling trip and literally sprinted the volcano- which had a mountain like terrain. It was rocky, slippery, muddy, and wet, and yet I did not falter once. We stuck our...
