Polaroid PIcture

Life is not always sunsets and palm trees and I'm realizing this more and more every day. The way I view life is as a polaroid picture. God has already taken the picture. He has everything mapped out. Every step we are going to take whether right or wrong. He knows every word we are going to say even before we say it and he knows our actions even before we do them. However for us, the picture is not quite clear yet.   It takes time for the full picture to come into focus. Sometimes it may take our whole lives and the picture is still not completely clear. No matter how much...

Masaya

On our day off a few of us took a trip to Masaya.  On our way home we were able to catch a huge yellow bus that runs as the 'public transportation'. They usually cram way too many people on these buses, but it's a cheap way to get around.  This particular bus travels from Masaya to San Marcos to Diriamba and then eventually to Jinotepe.  The bus was completely crowded, but I was able to get a seat at the very front of the bus.  At the next stop a young woman and her baby stepped on the bus with about 10 others, all the seats were taken, and there were about...

You Can’t Live Beyond What You Believe

As I sit in a quaint cafe sipping freshly brewed coffee I find myself in a position of complete vulnerability and wavering emotions. This is a small look at my heart and the present circumstance that has led me to a deeper evaluation of the woman I am and the life I am moving to leave behind. At the beginning of this week I recieved some news that would challenge a hidden desire and hope I have been clinging to for many years of my life. A hope that rested on a wrong belief. This belief was centered on a goal that was unattainable and unrealistic. I don't know about...

Scattered Pieces

One morning, while I was having God time, I was given this creative idea of revealing my heart in fiction form-a short story that truly captures the essence of God's dwelling place. Little did I know that Jesus would begin a work in me…what do you know.   Bum-bump. Bu-bump. Bu-bump. Almost as loud as a base-drum, is the sound of her beating heart; in perfect unison with the one who pieced it back together. This living being was once lost, but then she was found. Here is her story. This is how she came alive.   Once upon a time, not so long ago, there lived a...
