God has been teaching me so much lately. One of the most important things Hes been teaching me is how to love the way He does. I´m no where close to where I need to be but as He keeps showing me how I keep falling more and more in love with these people. Theres this one family we visited in the beginning. They were kind of standoffish at first and it took the kids like 45 minutes to warm up to us. But the second time we went to visit them the children ran right up to us and we got to talk to the parents and just love on them. We plan to keep going back and building relationships with them and just showing them the love of Christ. But something very important I learned today is the love of Christ doesn´t stop even when its a day off.
Today we had a day to do tourist activities at Granda. While we were the me and some girls were walking around shopping and on the corner of a side walk a homeless man was covered in bugs. We stopped to pray for him in a circle without waking him up. But we decided that wasn´t enough so we got him some food. When we tried waking him up to give it to him his head just rolled over so we layed the food beside him and left. It didn´t hit us the man was possibly dieing until after we left. We just witnessed that, talk about true brokenness. Thankfully some people got to go back to pray for him and he just wept as they did so. God is great and its amazing how He can move people in there time of suffering.
Matthew 25:40 (I don´t have my bible with me so I can´t quote the exact words but) whatever you do unto your fellow people you do unto me.
