When Smiles are like Sunshine

Yesturday I went to the mens rehab center. They have change so much since our first week going there. When we got there they were ready for our service, sitting in their chairs. There was deffinately something different in the air. They usally look so down and have an air of defeat, but I can tell that we are getting to them. So we decided to do a foot washing service to show them what it means to be a servant and how Jesus came to serve. They were taken aback for sure. How it worked was someone would take a man to the basin, wash their feet , and then a couple of us would pray over them. I took the role of prayer warrior and in seconds I could feel the power of God working over these men. I could feel the deep desire that God had for these men and began to pray as if it were life and death. Because frankly it is. There was one man who after getting his feet washed was just sitting in his chair with a far off look in his eyes. A look of DEEP saddness and a heavy weight on his shoulders. I began to pray for joy to enter this man and for his burdden to be lifted. I was standing right in front of him and he didn´t even acknowledge my presants. Sweat dripped down my face has I began to lift the burdden off this mans shoulders. After a good ten minutes I finished by praying the healing waters of grace into him and moved on to help Jess pray for the other men. When we had finished praying I look back and saw the man look up as if he had just woken up from years of sleeping. I sat in a chair and tears started to roll down my face. By the time we were going to leave he was smiling and  gave me a hug. If I do nothing else with my life it was worth it just for that moment.
all the love to God
