So far I've done many things that I'd never thought I'd do before. One of those is buy a twelve dollar jar of peanut butter. It was the best thing I've ever purchased, just saying.
We're entering our fourth week being gone, and I can't believe time is moving as fast as it is. It's really weird to think that we have less than two weeks at the orphanage.
One of the little girls is in the process of getting adopted, and so her future parents have been at the orphanage spending time with her. As excited as I am for her, it is so hard to watch the other children who are older and able to understand what's happening. It's so hard to watch them become bitter, because they don't have those loving parents. I want so badly for them to know that they are loved. So much, by their heavenly father. And that they are worth so much in his eyes.
This week we are going to start working in the school a little bit, and also move into the town to do some ministry. I am so excited for the next couple of weeks.
I've offically sweated more here in one day than I have my entire life, and I've probably eaten more rice and beans as well.
Oh! And today, we were practicing our worship songs that we were going to sing in church, and one of the volunteers from Costa Rica came up and started worshipping with us. He then spoke to us and told us that he could feel God's presence with us, and he encouraged us to keep serving Him. He said that even though there was a language barrier, he could still feel that God was with us. It was an incredible moment.
I love my team so much. I know that God hand picked each and every one of us to be here. Each day we get closer and closer and I love it:)
I just love Nicaragua.
Buenos Nachos!
