I was having troubles getting into my blog, but I now
can finally post from last week Monday!
Wow. First thing is first, God is so good! Our first few days we were in Georgia and had training camp & at first I had no idea what to expect. Would we be doing activities, having only bible study? But wow was I wrong, it was plain life changing. We worshiped daily, even sometimes twice a day and I felt so connected to God during those times. Throughout the days we had different speakers sharing stories and Gods word that felt very personal and to the heart, which made me feel comfortable with opening up more and more.
On the last day, we had a speaker, Clint. HE WAS AWESOME. He spoke such strong words of God. At one point, he pointed directly at me and spoke what God was speaking to him. That the hurt I was feeling inside and the tears I were crying were the tears of God. That He is working through me and showing His hurt for the impoverished children we will be helping. That was so cool. It was exactly what I was feeling and what my mind was thinking, crazy.
Also on that last day, we had a night session of just telling the whole group of teams the amazing stories and encounters we had with God during that week of training. I don’t know what it was but something inside of me needed to share my story. The story of such hurt and despair towards God after my car accident and breaking my neck. Why did I need to break my neck, and why did God choose me to still be alive? And I shared with the teams that He wanted me here, with them, sharing and spreading His love through the nations. Not only did it do that, it got me out of a bad environment of hurt and pain and God directed me towards His light.
Now, we are here, in Nicaragua! It’s awesome…own beds, have running showers AND toilets and everyone on my team has a personal fan. SO spoiled! I’m so excited to see what God has in store of us all starting tomorrow for our first ministry!
Thank you all for the many prayers sent our way. They are so appreciated 🙂
