Dancin’ in the streets

This past week has been the first week for our street evangelism outreach.  Last week we spent many hours learning crazy dances, funny skits, and serious human video type dramas to perform in the streets of the slum areas.  To start off on Wednesday, we piled 17 people in and on a 7 person car.  You never know what the transportation will be like here in Nicaragua.  We arrived at the location safely and started talking to people about what we were going to do and told them to come watch.

After a few minutes of that, we got started with our dancing and acting and the crowd that had gathered was pretty interested and the kids paid attention really well.  After we did our thing, the pastor started to speak and tell them about Jesus and asked if any of them wanted to accept Christ into their lives.  We were standing with their children and about ten of them raised their hands.  It was so sweet.  We prayed with them and took down names and addresses so we can go back and visit them in the coming weeks.

God works in such great ways.  Who would have thought that some fun dances and skits would have been enough to win the hearts of the young children.  And look how much bigger God's kingdom just got.

Our hosts decided to take us "the easy way" back which consisted of jumping streams, climbing mountain sides and crawling under fences to get to the main road.  It was fun though so we weren't complaining.  God is so great!!

Life here is going great!  We are all growing in the Lord and growing closer to each other.  We have also learned several rules to live by.
-Pants off hands off.
-A little naked never hurt anyone.
-Red touches yellow you're a dead fellow.
-James likes his space.
-bend your knees, walk with ease
