Dance dance

Hi all!

Ok so the first month was insane, fun, hard, awesome, exciting and pretty much everything else. The first 12 days we worked with a church doing door to door, VBS with the kids, soccer with the kids, talking at the church and also sharing testimonies or stories at the church. At first door to door was the hardest for me in opening up but once I got over that fear, it really became exciting for me. I also shared my testimony at the church and felt God really leading me in that. All in all the first week was a huge step for me, it really helped get me to get out of my shell. I was able to talk to people, share God's love with them, and show how He has worked in my life and where I'm at now.

After that, we moved to Granada for about 6 days and worked with a different ministry but still did door to door,  VBS, soccer and shared testimonies. I really connected with the kids there and one family in particular; I was able to share some stories from my life and pray with them. It was a really great week.

From Granada we moved to Managua, the capital of Nicaragua! We have been here a little over three weeks and it has been so amazing! We are staying at an orphanage and have been building up relationships with the kids and learning more about there stories, which has been eye opening. Also while we have been here, there has been other teams so we have been linking up with them for outreaches at prisons, high schools and parks, as well as work projects. The church we go to is so alive and full of love and SO MUCH DANCING! It's been really enjoyable for to me be able to see how other people worship and praise God. In the orphanage, at church, on the streets, at stories, in the malls….everywhere you go you will see people dancing and that is one of the coolest things ever. I love watching how free the people are here and how much joy it brings, especially here in the orphanage and at church. They worship and praise God with there dancing and they do it with everyhing they have, it's a blessing to be able to watch and also join in. I never would see myself dancing, spinning and jumping up on a sunday morning right before a sermon but I am so thankful I have been able to experience worship like that.
