A couple of days ago our team went to the hospital. I was teamed with Kristen and we both decided to go to the women's side. It started like a regular visit until we meet Cythia. Cynthia was a 20 year old beatiful women. We started to make small talk with her by commenting on her "Twilight" shirt. She was not open with talking to us, but God was persisting us to talk with her. And mind you, I don't know much spanish at all. But I can honestly say that the Lord was giving me the words to say. It was crazy!
Anyway, we felt lead to pray that God's love will captivate her. But after we finished praying we fet like there was more for her. So I told her "Un minuto, necessito orar" which means, one minute I need to pray. So Kristen and myself prayed for what God wanted us to do next. And yet, once again we felt like we should continue to pray for her. We asked if she went to church, and she said no, we then asked her if she was a christian. She gently swayed her head right and left. I asked her if she had friends who say they are christians, but don't walk like christians. She quickly responded by shaking her head back and forth.
I saw the hunger in her to become "christian" not by her friends standard but by God's. So we onced again prayed but this time that she would give God her whole heart. After we prayed for her, we told her that even though she might not have a loving relationship with her spiritual father. She has a spirtitual father who loves her when she don't even love yourself.
She wanted us to pray that Jesus would come into her heart. It was so beatiful to see how her heart with us changed from being cut off, to being open with us. I am just so glad that we were both lead by the spirit to sit and talk to Cynthia, but even more than that, we were obedient. Because let's face it, we can be lead to do something but the question is are we obedient?
