See, What Had Happened Was…

What am I talking about? Well, we all have different experiences in life. There are both good and difficult times in our lives…right? However, if we base our life off what happens to us, then our moods, attitudes, and thinking changes as easily as the breeze changes directions. There’s nothing stable about it. Let’s say you’ve had an amazing experience. You’ve been blessed with gifts you weren’t expecting, people treat you really well, you may hear from God, and etc. These are all great, but if you stay so focused on this specific time and always...

Everything by Lifehouse in Spanish!

While serving for three months in Nicaragua as Passport missionaries with Adventures in Missions, we decided to recreate the drama to the song “Everything” by Lifehouse. After we gave a short talk about drugs and alcohol and how they will never fill the place that was created for Jesus, we presented this skit. https://vimeo.com/105926872

choosing to go on a mission trip and choosing Nicaragua

Going on a mission trip had been weighing on mind for a while. Mission trips are not a new thing to me. Every couple of years my parents go on a 10 day mission trip to the Dominican Republic where they would build a church or a pastor’s house and engage with the local church. They have been doing this for over 20 years now. As a family we went to the Dominican for a combination vacation and mission trip. We got to repaint one of the churches built several years prior by my parents’ group. I also went on a one week mission trip in Shiprock, New Mexico when I was in ninth grade. I...

The Conductor’s Song

It’s pouring down rain; we’re sitting in the main room under the metal tin roof, and it is extremely loud. He is alive in US.

I was having troubles getting into my blog, but I now can finally post from last week Monday!    Wow. First thing is first, God is so good! Our first few days we were in Georgia and had training camp & at first I had no idea what to expect. Would we be doing activities, having only bible study? But wow was I wrong, it was plain life changing. We worshiped daily, even sometimes twice a day and I felt so connected to God during those times. Throughout the days we had different speakers sharing stories and Gods word that felt very personal and to the heart, which made me feel...

I Can’t Believe My Eyes

Coming to training camp I had never really experienced the power of the Holy Spirit. I had known it existed and I had heard stories of people speaking in tongues and having visions but I never interacted with anyone that had experienced such things.  Coming to camp I was overwhelmed with the faith kids my own age possessed. Here I was with 18-22 year old kids that were so connected with God. I didn’t necessarily know how to deal with it at first because seeing people worship with such passion kind of scared me, but seeing it changed my heart. The first worship service I was...
