Variety is the spice of life
Living in routine is comfortable. Sometimes, however, you have to spice things up.
I have been switching things up with our beans an rice. Today we has some delicious beans and rice accentuated with some picante sauce. Although I am still working up to a larger amount, the variety in my life makes normal routine more fun. Some day I will be a hot sauce champ. If you are really wanting to switch things up try beans and pasta. It is good stuff, especially with some salsa de tomates (aka ketchup). Unfortunately, mom, we don't have the size containers you prefer.
Spicing things up can apply to other areas of life as well. I have apparently been sleeping in the same position each night for too long. There is a dent in my mattress in the shape of sleeping Becky. It is a nice place to be, but I might be more comfortable if I switched it up every other night.
The animal kingdom here has variety in the types of ants (hormigas). There are big red ones that carry leaves cross country, little black ones that bite, and small brown ones that crawl into suitcases for Reece's pieces. Gotta love it.
My team members and the kids here help put spice in my life. There are so many different personalities. The kids keep me on my toes with their crazy antics and random hugs at the school. I taught the 2nd graders math Monday, but wasn't sure what they were talking about half of the time. Haha. Spanish keeps me asking questions.
The moral of the story today is: don't be afraid to spice
things up in your life. Make a new friend, take a new way to work, or try putting hot sauce on everything.
