Going into this trip I didn’t feel at all prepared for what we were doing. Thankfully, AIM offers an amazing training camp to help all those unsure people such as myself.
Throughout the four days we have spent at camp the AIM staff has done such an amazing job working with us and preparing us for the next couple months.
Through community building activities such as sleeping in a tarp shelter our first night freezing our butts off, awesome dance off’s, and creating our own mural representing our team and what we want to gain from this trip, we all feel as though we have known each other for years even though it has only been a few days.
With everything I have learned here I cannot wait to see what is waiting for us all as we land in Nicaragua tomorrow.
