SPLAT. There's another one. As we begin a new season here in Nicaragua we have encountered gushing winds, ripe mangos (finally!), and…white bodied beetles? It makes trying to sit and blog very difficult as beetles are falling like rain around me.
But really, we are starting a new season here as we cross our halfway mark and begin the second half of our trip. After debrief I realized not only how much more I want to serve and grow here but how much God has done already through my team and I here. In these next couple of months I am excited to explore new ministry opportunities, go deeper in relationships, be stretched in new ways, and follow where God is calling me. I think debrief gave our team the "kick in the butt" we needed to follow in God's plans for us here.
Recently I have been learning a lot about the Holy Spirit and letting Him lead me daily. Through the Spirit I am fearless. The other day I wrote in my journal,
I will really trust you to come through with your promises.
I will be FREE from others perceptions and have confidence through the Spirit.
I will relinquish control and be led by your Spirit into whatever your will may be.
As I speak these truths to myself I am constantly encouraged by the freedom we have in His Spirit. I can honestly pray, not my will but YOURS be done.
