So the other day someone told me we´ve been here two and a half weeks and I was amazed then i remembered i´ve only blogged once and i need to get on that. Ha ha soooo here i am. There´s just way too much to write about so i´m going to write about my experiences in the barrios, which is spanish for neighborhood. First is Manuel. I don´t know why he´s so cool he just is. He´s 7 and loves to try on random sunglasses, laugh at my spanglish, and play baseball. I´m getting to know his family and his brother as well. I was praying before this trip that God would break my heart for what breaks his, and this kid may be God starting to do that. He has a big scar on his forehead that i´m really curious how he got, and his baby teeth are rotten. I just got done talking to him and he´s going to get his teeth pulled tonight. I can´t imagine how a Nicaraguain dentist pull teeth. We talked to this other kid who was 17 and we couldn´t say something in spanish so we asked him to read it only to find he could barely read. I know this is a preety steroetypical blog about how we´ve been blessed in America but it´s something i´ve been learning. We are rediculously blessed. A perfect picture of this in my head is comparing the University of Nicaragua which is like a shack on the side of the dirty road to the University of Colorado next to beautiful mountains. But ya i´ll have a better blog next time when i have more time ha ha.
