Rain, Rain Come Again

It began to rain, HARD.  Shelby and I were in the barrios running to our friend Angel´s house when the storm hit.   We entered Angel´s house soaking wet leaving water all over the floor.  After praying that God would heal her brain tumor so that should could walk again, she told us she her legs and head no longer hurt.  God´s faithfulness gave us encouragement to endeavor back into the rain to run to one of our favorite familes, the Modestos.  We treked up the hill with water rushing down with such happiness that could have only come from Him.  Once we entered their house, the Modestos immideatly welcomed us with hugs. Margaritta, the bed-ridden great grandmother, greeted us with tons of kisses as usual.  After realizing how wet we were, they offered us their own dry clothes to change into.  They don´t have many clothes to begin with, but they insisted that we take them.  Margaritta was really worried that we were going to get sick and catch a cold. We gathered around her bed in dry clothes and drank coffee with the HUGE family.  We all huddled together in the same small room as the rain poured outside just soaking up eachother´s company.  The Modesto house has truely become my home in Nicaragua.  The beautifulness of the simplicity of their lives and the closeness of their family is remarkable.  Their generosity is inspirational, they give away everything that they can.  God is going to transform this family.  God is going to use them as a light in that barrio.  God is going to reign as king over that household. God is giong to save the Modestos.
