Lost and found

What do seven girls do on a Saturday night on the island of Ometepe? Our great group decided to get stranded in town. After a fast time trying to figure out the Internet cafe in moyogalpa, we made an attempt to return to CICRIN on the bus. Unfortunately, the buses were all full because it was the end of the day. We walked along the bus route and waited. After we waited, we waited some more. We were able to contact our leaders when we were in town to tell them we were late, but continued to hope for another bus. Feelings of anxiousness set in as an hour passed, our stomachs grumbled, and the sun was setting. Our problem solving skills were put to the test, but our only option was Jesus. Madison suggested to pray
together as we stood on the side of the road in a chain. The thing about living in a third world country is that Jesus is the only option. You can't always get to the doctor if you are sick. you can't always call your friends to pick you up in 10 minutes, and you can't always find comfort in your familiar surroundings. Even the ice cream man can't fix things.

Thankfully, we found a store owner along the road that was willing to let us use his phone. We got to call the center and explain our location.

To celebrate, we got some snickers to share and celebrate. We still aren't sure why the bus didn't come during the hour and a half that we waited, but we know that Jesus took care of us. Plus, we got to do some team bonding. Sometimes the unknown can scare us, but Jesus knows our needs and has our back.
