I am writing this last blog sitting in the Atlanta airport ALONE… the first time in 4 months. I just said goodbye to the last of my 8 sisters… and now I sit here thinking "What just happened?" Yes, I am a little emotional. It's not easy saying goodbye to 8 best friends who youve spent almost every day with for the past 4 months. But right now, I just want to talk about how great the last 4 months has been.
Not only has God worked through each and every one of us to witness to the people of NIcaragua, He has also worked IN each and every one of us. The transformations that have taken place within our team have been amazing. Our bonds are so strong that even if we will not ever be able to see each other again, or at least never have all 9 of us in one place, i am confident that we will remain incredibly close through talking on the phone, texting, or simply commmenting on each others facebooks once in a while. We have memories that will last a lifetime.
I have pictures to remember each and every one of the people i have met on this journey, but i also have emotional attachments that no one back home will ever understand. Even though it might be hard sometimes, I know that this chapter of my life was written by God for a reason. He has the upperhand in all my plans and I will let HIm guide me.
I will never forget the 4 months I spent in Nicaragua with "The Sisterhood of Awesomeness." Our time of making memories together is not over… I love you girls soo much and am soo thankful for everything that took place in this time.
