With God’s will, there is a way!

Hey everyone!! Sorry that it’s been so long since I last wrote my blog, but things have been so busy here for us! There are so many things that have just gone so differently from what we were expecting. It just goes to show once again, that we must bend to God’s will and that He will change our plans when He wants to.
So we ended up leaving the island of Ometepe on Father’s Day. We left because things with the pastor did not work out well. So on Father’s Day, we made our way to the city of Granada as our temporary home until we figured out what else we were going to do. Granada was such a great place. It was amazing! In Granada, we went to this place called Pont en Al. This was a small and poor community, but it was such an inspiration to go there day in and day out. On the first day of missions work in Granada, I went door to door with a team of five other people. The first house we went to contained a young girl with a brain disease. So, after learning about the family we prayed over the girl and reasurred her that she was beautiful and she was a daughter of God. Walking out of the house, we were stopped by this elderly woman named Rosa. Rosa is an eighty year old woman with Parkinson’s disease. Rosa had tears streaming down her face as she requested prayers from us. So, we came together and prayed for healing over Rosa. From that day until the day we left, we constantly visited with Rosa and prayed over her for healing and that God would come more into her life and heal her more. There were so many inspirational people and things that we witnessed in Granada that I know God got us out of Ometepe for a reason.
On 23 June 2012 we left Granada and came to Managua, Nicaragua. We are now working in an orphanage in Managua. It is amazing here! The children are so much fun and so inspirational. The way they interact with us is amazing! You would never know that these kids have anything less than the people in America. They are such caring kids that just want to be loved on. We have done a lot and have lots more to do. I will try to write again soon.

P.S. Please keep praying for:
1.) Rice and Beans, our new favorite foods at just about every meal. Pray for patience that we would come to love the food more.
2.) Bugs, our little friends during sleep. Please pray that the bug bites would become less as we continue on.
3.) Energy for the activities that we do. We are constantly going and getting run down really fast so please pray that God would renew our energy daily.
4.) My bed. I feel like every time I get in it, it’s going to fall down so please pray that God stabalizes it.
5.) The people of Nicaragua. Though many people claim to be Christian, most people here do not know Jesus Christ. Please pray that God would soften their hearts for our message and that we would be able to constantly reach the people of Nicaragua!
Thank you everyone!
