Soli Deo Gloria

Coming to Nicaragua, I had no idea of what to expect. I have absolutely enjoyed this experience. There has been one adventure after another & not a day happens how you would expect it to, which is great! Growing with the team & becoming a family has helped so much. To see everyone come together & step in to do things for God is so encouraging. The lifestyle is so different from what I am used to, but not just from being in a new country, sharing a room with 11 other girls & spending all your time with 14 other people defintitely changes things, but I totally love it.
We have gone to the Barrios the past two mornings introducing ourselves to the families & praying over them. They have so little but you can see that their love is so great. A smile always appears upon their faces & the kids are so happy to see us when we walk toward them or their houses. They absolutely love to play with us & we share the same joy. Even though we cannot always understand eachother because of the language barrior, God definitely gives us a sense of understanding & He has thankfully placed a couple translators in our ministry. Although, there are those times we try to talk to the locals in our spanglish & I know for me it has ended up in laughter because neither one of us really understand what the other is trying to say, but it still starts to build that relationship. One of the best parts was seeing some of those families we met come to church!
I am really looking forward to this upcoming week because we now know more of what we are doing & we have gotten to know more people. It's all in God's hands & we shall see what He has in store for us.
