Nicaragua: Expeditions Style

I am clearly the worst blogger ever. A month in and I haven't written anything. My reasons are kind of good though. We have been traveling A LOT. We started our journey on Ometepe, moved to Granada, and then moved to Managua. We will be here in Managua for the rest of our journey and I'm really excited. This short little blog post is just about the peace and joy that I have felt on this trip in situations where I could have been freaking out. So here it goes!

I felt at peace going to a random person's house and sharing God's love with them.
I felt at peace in a prison sharing the Gospel.
I felt at peace when I shared my testimony and sang a song in Spanish at a church in Ometepe.

I feel joy dancing at church to Spanish worship music (for those who don't know, I really don't like dancing).
I feel joy drinking coffee and going to the movies with my teammates on our day off.
I feel joy as I overcome doubts in my spiritual life and as a result, grow closer to the Lord.

God is constantly at work. He fills me with joy and peace in situations that are not always easy. Every day I feel new; even in the chaos, my life is found in the Lord. I am so excited for the next month here and the continued growth that will happen as a result of the Lord working in my heart!
