I believe we are all the hands and feet of Jesus, but some of us, in some circumstances, should be allowed to add the adjective "man" in front of hands. I'll give you a normal schedule from any day Monday – Friday to explain.
6:30am: Wake up, go lay in the pavilion hammocks that overlook the mountain bordered lake to do some quiet time.
8:00am: Breakfast: always rice & beans. Sometimes some type of fruit, and if it's eggs then it's a good day.
8:30am – 9:00am: Bible study with team, we're finishing up Daniel
9:00am-12:00am: Me and my other 2 fellow men, Alan & Trey, go and work with the "construction leader" on a house they are building. This entails mixing concrete, laying concreting, sawing cylindar blocks, moving cylindar blocks..straight man work in the burning sun, it feels great. This picture is of me and the construction leader, Helden, after a trip to the city in a tractor for more blocks, the house is in the background. Every day our hands get a little rougher, and a little manlier a la 'Man hands'.

12:00pm: Lunch: rice, beans, and sometimes meat or something of the sort: the real fun part is guessing what kind of meat it is. Goat, chicken, soy, and some kinds I'm not sure I can pronounce or feel comfortable thinking about.
12:30pm-1:30pm: Siesta in the hammocks, this is a very relaxing culture: "work hard, nap hard"
1:30pm-4:00pm: Lather on sunscreen and work on the house during the hottest and most humid part of the day
4:00pm-6:00pm: Clean up and play with the little kids. After a long day of work this sometimes requires the most patiences, especially since they have napped and been fed copious amounts of sugar from the mangos that fall every day.
6:00pm: Dinner, same as lunch and a lot of the times same thing as lunch.
The rest of the night is time with the team, playing with the kids, and improving our vast spanish vocabularies. Then we sleep with bed bugs and without A/C, you get used to sweating in your sleep. People here are great, it's been hard work, but a lot of fun. And we live right next to a smoking volcanoes which is a sight no one can really ever get used to.
