There are only so many things that we know for certain:
-Antonia and Estella can cook (disclaimer: we might weigh 200lbs by the time we get home)
-Nicaraguans drive as fast as they can (which was kinda scary at first, now its normal)
-Seatbelts and stop signs are optional
-rice and beans are literally every meal
-spiders are the size of your face (exaggerated by a lot) and only die by a chaco (type of sandal)
-there’s a Canadian way to say “Z”: “zed”, and an American way: “zeee”
-church service is 3 hours minimum
-you don’t throw toilet paper in the toilet; if you did..you’re going fishing :p
-the pigs are the size of miniature horses (maybe even bigger)
-even though Justin Bieber is Canadian, Nicaragua still knows him and his songs
-you get serenaded to sleep by crickets, and woken up by chirping birds (amazing to hear)
The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
Genesis 12:1-3 NLT
God only gives us so much to know in the moment- the rest we live day to day.
Today is your day.
Now what will you do with the endless possibilities?
“If our only blessings were posessions, in heaven we would be the poorest of souls. But because God made himself our best blessing, we are rich both here and for eternity.” -Author unknown
