Going to the Mountain

Hello Again 🙂
A lot has happened here in Nicaragua since the last time I blogged, but I want to at least tell you some of the awesome experiences now, and pray I get a chance to share all the stories in the future!
Returning to Cicrin from Balgüe really felt like coming home. There was familiar faces and places, and it didn't take long to feel settled in. At times it almost felt too comfortable. We have a lot of opportunity to have free time. This does give us time to have quiet time with The Lord in a quantity many of us are not used to. I found myself very anxious at the beginning, but as The Lord began speaking to me through scripture I quickly realized this was my time on the mountain.
I came into this thinking that this was "THE" ministry, that it was going to be super challenging and nonstop, which actually was kinda what I had hoped for. However, now God is revealing to me that this is more like a time of preparation. He has been pointing to how important a foundation is, and how John the Baptist and Jesus both were strong in Spirit before they began their ministry. Even more importantly God has revealed to me how several times Jesus made it a priority to have his alone time with the Father, and in some cases " he went to the mountain to pray and be with The Father."
I'm learning like Martha that sitting at Jesus's feet and listening is the most important thing we can do. We can't be so caught up in the actions that we miss the instructions that need to come first.
Listening and leaning at the feet of Jesus this summer was exactly what I needed, and not at all what I thought I needed. Not to mention, the soil here is so rich to grow in! Everyday really is a whole new spiritual journey, and I find myself looking more forward to what God will reveal to me in the present day than anything else!
