God of all da people

       Well…..here we are on the lovely island of omtepe, and let me tell you, the Lord's favor has been with us. He has blessed us tremendously with safe travel, comfortable living arrangements, wonderful people, and good food. 🙂 

     One thing that I have found to be pretty extraordinary since i have been here is the ability to communicate with others even without words. I have made friends with many of the kids here, and my bud, Connie, and I do not even have to use words to laugh at each other and know what is going on. It is funny to me how similar people are regardless of the country. We all have hearts and we all long to be loved and accepted. 

    Yesterday I helped clean the patio, and while i could not understand what they wanted me to do exactly, I knew whatever I was doing was not right because I kept hearing chuckles and giggles from the women who work there. I just find it amazing that while God made us each differently, He made us so that we could join together in one body regardless of denomination, race, age, etc. 

     I was thinking about how big and all encompassing our God is. It is just so awesome how He is not just God over me or you but of the people in Ometepe as well as all over the world. It is so cool too because here they express their love a little differently. They are very touchy here but very passionate, and it is really neat when you think about how the Lord is able to speak to them in a personal way.

   This applies to my teammates too. It has been really cool to talk to some of them and see how God has been speaking to them. God is so huge and all encompassing, and I am so grateful that He is able to personalize the way in which he speaks to each and every one of His people. :)))
