Second blog of the trip, i didnt think i could do it! Alright so since i havnt blogged in so long i want to apologize, but i do not remember every single spectacular experience that has happened to the team and I since the last blog. So instead ill just go back and review what we have been up to. To start, we were working on building a house for one of our amazing cooks who hadnt had a house for her and her family for quite some time. We worked on that project every other day for about 2 1/2 weeks apart from weekends, and we are content with the end result. The building strategies are very different down here from how they mix their cement to how they form door ways and windows. Its not wrong, its different. Which is good because we are not looking for right or wrong or different ways, we're after opportunities. Opportunities are all around us everyday but so often go unnoticed. So one of my prayers this weeks has been for God to open my eyes to when doors are opened to show what Hes all about. Another prayer of mine has been how to actually go about showing the true love of our lord, because ive always struggled with the fear of being to outgoing with what i believe. But know that i hear myself say that, i think it would be better to be over enthusiastic about my faith than to contain what i know and feel into a box that would not be opened for anyone to see. The more and more I dive deeper in the word the more God has to say to be, who would have thought right!? Im currently reading through the gospels which is something i have done before but with a different perspective. Ill elaborate on all of this more through more blogs because i figure i should prolly start blogging more, so im going to make whos ever reading this wait for my next one to hear more about the trip.
