I love the power of prayer and I love how God speaks to us when we are willing to listen.
For the weeks leading up to camp, I prayed for repeatedly for close-knit bonds and against the fears of regection or seperation that often come about in large groups. I honestly had a huge fear of us picking and choosing our groups of friends based off of traits we're comfortable with and what we have been used to.
The first day in our team talk, we chose the word "family" to describe our central movement as a group. We prayed for love, courage, and unity for each other. We also talked a lot about encouraging one another and believing in the best for each other. Less than three days after meeting each other, we are already closer than any group I have ever seen and we all truly love one another like brothers and sisters. I am so hopeful and excited for the thrills we are going to experience as a family, as well as, all that God is going to be able to work through us as we are fully one in the body of Christ.
We are prepared for any obstacles Nicaragua may throw at us. We are a force of love coming to invade the hearts of millions.
