Lately I have really been learning more about the power of prayer. Not to say I didn’t ever know how powerful prayer was, but lately God has really been showing me His faithfulness through the small things I pray for. Although they seem small to me, they are just as important to Him. Through seeing him answer all the small prayers, I can’t help but be ashamed that I do not pray for more dangerous & miraculous things to happen. I should be praying for the people I see every day, for health, & for needs to be met. Sometimes praying for big things is hard for me to do. Is it because I do not have the faith or because I am too lazy? Either way, I am going to take the initiative to change this bad habit because I KNOW He hears me & He will answer according to His will. Through this learning experience, I have had a peace that only God can bring because as much as I tend to lean on my own strength, it will never be enough.
I just pray that the people I come into contact with & pray for, will experience His miracles & the answers to our prayers. I personally really want to see the answers to our prayers when we pray for people in the streets, in the hospitals, & in the house visits but I have been realizing that I do not HAVE to see the outcome. I just have to have faith that God will perform His miracles & heal them in more ways than one, & that is all that matters. Faith is not seeing, but believing.
