I can´t believe I am finally here! Nicaragua is even more beautiful than I imagined. Once the bus picked us up from the boat, I started to get very nervous and questioning how I was going to handle all of this. Once we pulled up to Cicrin, all the kids were standing outside waiting to hug us. That´s when I realized everything was going to be OK and I was in the right the place.
I feel so blessed to get to spend everyday with these kids who are so filled with joy and happiness. The view of Lake Nicaragua isn´t so bad either. We even washed our clothes in the lake yesterday which gives you an AMAZING view of the volcano.
The kids always are keeping us on our toes and pulling pranks on us. Just last night, there was a lizard outside at dinner and of course all of us girls started running and screaming. The kids thought was hilarious so they caught the lizard. I had jumped up on a chair and they threw in on the table right in front of me. At that the point the lizards tail decided to fall off but continued to wiggle. That´s when I went into full on hysterical dramatic mode. It was quite entertaining for everyone.
I am so happy to be here and still can´t really believe this is where I am going to be living. I can already see God moving in so many ways and the kids have already shown us so much joy and love.
