Whoa!! I never thought that the day would come that I would actually get in the car to travel to Chattanooga for training camp! As I rode in the car I had a million emotions going through my mind. Let’s fast forward and we arrive at training (in the middle of nowhere) I step off the bus and take my luggage to the designated area and grab out my water bottle. We all gather inside and was told to grab three items out of our bags…in my mind I was thinking “oh dear!” Once I received the news that our first night of training camp was to be slept outside the only thing I could do was laugh. We set up as a team and come to create this pretty awesome covering for us to stay the night. We get done and eat our taco’s in a bag. So we go to our first meeting and talk about expectations. At that moment, I had about zero expectations due to the fact I was sleeping outside for probably the second time in my life. We lay down that night and I just thank God for my smart teammates for putting this covering we have over ourselves. The dew falls and sometimes I got cold and had to move around to get comfortable because of the root that is in my back I just simply turned over. I wake up the next day with the same clothes on and no shower in about 24 hours. I tell you all of this so maybe you can ask yourself the same question. Are you thankful? The answer I have is yes!! Even though I slept outside on a tarp in the same clothes I had on for a day. I simply thank God that I had somewhere to lay my head and had some pretty awesome people to experience it. I can not wait to see what this summer has in store but I am super excited to see what God is going to do!!!
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that can not be shaken, let us be thankful, and so we can worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.”
